Subject: UCB Ethnic Studies *STILL* under attack


Dear List,

I have recently heard from Ling-Chi Wang (Chair of Berkeley's Ethnic
Studies Dept) that the recent settlement over the fate of Ethnic Studies is
being challenged by, I believe, the Faculty Senate, which is trying to
overturn the settlement brokered by the Chancellor and also to force his
resignation (!). Is there an email with further, more accurate and complete
information? And how may we write in to support the agreement and Ethnic
Studies itself? (I can, of course, dig up the old email over the issue, but
perhaps there is something more up to date.)
