POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP. Macalester College invites applications for a
two-year combined History and Women's/Gender Studies position to begin
fall 2000. The fellow will offer one course each semester, working
closely with a faculty mentor.  This Mellon Fellowship includes a $38,750
salary plus benefits and funds to support research and travel.
Send letter of application, a c.v., graduate school transcript,
three letters of recommendation and a brief description of teaching

WOMEN'S AND GENDER STUDIES: Macalester College seeks to fill a two year
term position starting in fall 2000.  Person hired will teach the
introductory and intermediate courses in lesbian and gay studies, a
senior seminar, introduction to feminist theories, and one course to
be determined by the instructor.  Research and travel funds included. 
Ph.D required.  Applicants should submit letter of interest, c.v., and
