I am not familiar with the over 80 citations to Annie Besant to be found
on Amazon.com. However, the following includes fascinating and memorable
commentary on Besant's early work for birth control in England and her
later dissociation/disavowal of that needful form of conscientiousness
when involved with spiritualism and politics in India.
