It's not an "amusing" term in the Pacific since it's a racial slur against
Pacific Islanders. Like all the other labels that have been bandied around
on the list, this one has different meanings in different time/spaces & is
deeply enmeshed & dependent upon multiple histories, nations, class, gender,
speaker, audience etc etc etc. Liz
