conde works/teaches at columbia in new york
city, and, i believe, spends her summers in guadeloupe.  you can most
likely reach here through the french dept at columbia or even the maison
francaise at new york university, although she may be away for another
month or so. she chairs columbia's center for french and francophone
studies. they list her email as mc363-AT-columbia.edu.
