Subject: RE: Contentville - from an "official" Canadian perspective....
Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 18:52:04 -0400

Hi Folks
I have been corresponding with both UMI and Contentville about this. They
are skirting the issue about the journalists' works that Contentville
appropriated, but the thesis and dissertation access seems to be legit. You
can request (via UMI) to have only print or Mfilm versions of your
dissertation available which might be an option for those concerned about
the implications of downloading them as files and possible plagiarism. There
are 2 electronic versions available (only if your diss came out in '97 or
later): a "preview" and the full thing. If anyone wants an email contact to
restrict access, pls let me know and I can pass on further info. Liz
