Subject: Hau'ofa/Mishra quote
Date: Sat, 27 Jan 2001 14:46:59 -0500

Hi folks:
In Epeli Hau'ofa's "Pasts to Remember" (in _Remembrance of Pacific Pasts_)
he begins with a quote from Sudesh Mishra which is attributed to a book
called _Lila_. This text isn't cited in the biblio and I can't find it in
any reference sources (I've checked catalogues in NZ, OZ and FJ). It's not a
misspelling of Wendt's collection _Lali_ either. Any ideas as to what this
source might be? If it helps any, the quote is prose rather than poetry, and
involves a character named Shatrugun. Thanks in advance, Liz
