Dear Clifford Duffy

To begin with there was no indication that that petition belongs to the
past.
As for Israeli Peace groups, I believe they are very insignificant in
Israeli politics. the fact that Sharon, a war criminal par excellence was
elected as prime minister indicates that Israeli voters do not want peace
and consequently don't really believe in an Arab Israeli co-existence.

You sound very concerned about young Palestinians (fanatics? ha?) who refuse
Bishara's ideas ( I respect him btw) but u do not show any concern
whatsoever about Israelis electing Sharon the hero! of Sabra and Shatile (is
it Ok to call it "massacre" or would it be like harming Arab-Israeli
brotherhood and peace efforts?)

The real question - as I see it - is " will a war criminal (or a state
whose political figures are war criminals and invaders) offer peace?"
that s what isrealis who believe in REAL peace should direct their attention
to.

Peace to all

Waiel Ashry
