i somewhat agree that "post-colonial" is a misleading term as far as we are 
still within the colonial world as manifested and perpetuated by capitalism 
itself. in a sense the "post-" in "post-colonial" implies a move beyond, 
while it is actually a sinking deeper into dependence and 
oppression--plagues subtly propagated by the many masks of capitalism.
nevertheless, the term is still useful in contemprorary discourse: it is the 
space from which resistance can be heared and acted. else, how can we 
describe the literatures and discources of peoples who are still suffering 
from the bad effects of imperialism as well as those who are still literally 
invaded (Palestine, for instance). how can we describe the poetry of Darwich 
and adonis, or even the late kabbani, let alone Sa3daoui and others?
question: how can "deterritorialization"/"reterritorialization" might be 
applied to Palestine?
