Dear Roxana
I think you have already read Edward said's book on
The Representation of The Intellectual. In this book
and other books he deals with third world
intellectuals such as Rushdie and Daryush Shaeyegan.
I have already mentioned Mehrzad Boroujerdi's Iranian
intellectuals. Professor Boroujerdi makes an analysis
of the concept of nativism in the works of Iranian
intellectuals such as Jalal al-Ahmad, Ali Shariati,
Hossein Nasr, Abdolkarim soroosh etc.
Best wishes
Mohammad
