re nigel's great letter to chili pepper fans, there's is a rapidly growing
group of american and israeli jews who are becoming very proactive in terms of
fighting the occupation, home demolitions, etc., and who are actually putting
their bodies on the line--a long time coming, but better late than never, and
certainly welcome.  i would suggest that it's crucial to involve american
jewish activists in this kind of activity because it's harder for people to
label them as anti-semitic or otherwise discredit them. and it can encourage
jewish kids to open up to a different perspective than is offered to them by
their parents and the jewish establishment.
