Subject: Israeli Liquidations



On yesterday's Israeli helicopter strike in Bethlehem - the US press
univocally has been following the IDF line that the dead were Hamas
operatives about to plan an action. Ha'aretz newspaper (7/18/01) has a
different account of one of the dead:

"Eshak Sa'ade, the father of 10, was not a member of Hamas. He was a
teacher of history and sociology at a Christian school in the city, and a
member of IPCRI (Israeli Palestinian Center for Research and Information)
which brings together Israeli and Palestinian teachers in various programs
of reconciliation between the two sides."
