"Rostov-Luanda" and "La Vie Sur Terre" by Abderrahmane Sissako are 
beautiful.  also "Flame" by Ingrid Sinclair.  check out the california 
newsreel website, they have great titles re: films on colonial and 
post-colonial africa (by africans)
