Such reading of texts is important for all who desire to acquire skill for doing poco criticism. Another that I would suggest is Achebe's essay on Conrad's Heart of Darkness (circa 1975). For more militant stuff, see Resistance Literature (the author's name doesn't come immediately to mind). If you want something more advanced, my prof uses Foucault's Archeology of Knowledge for his Poco Theory course. Good luck with your course design. There are tons of stuff on poco out there. I guess for an introductory course, you might need to go soft on reading materials. I need to do such things as flyers, syllabus outlines, etc. Can anyone suggest what I should include in a course entitled like that;what an "appropriate flyer" should include to draw students (grad credit also available). I have never taught this type of course here. It will be probably cross-listed with Culture Studies, so i am in dark. Thanks, Rinita Rinita Mazumdar, Philosophy/Women's Studies, University Of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
