you're right. the note is offensive: because it shows
the teacher to be a racist who cares only for people
"like her." i can't believe these people are allowed
to teach children.

i would hardly say it's trivial though, considering
the potential impact this racist could be having on
children by saying that an american life is somehow
more worthy of sorrow than a palestinian life.
