Subject: Re: racist attacks

Some New York groups are documenting these incidents --
AALDEF is setting up an egroup of NYC advocates to
communicate and streamline the reporting of racial
violence incidents. They and their counterparts
nationally (asian law caucus in SF, asian american
lawyers of NJ, in DC) are already cataloguing and
responding to incidents.
Hotline numbers to report racial attacks or threats
since the WTC tragedy:
DRUM (Desis Rising Up & Moving) Anti bias violence
phone number 212 631-3689
South Asian Bar Association 888 99 NO HATE
NYPD Bias Crimes 888 440HATE
Private and confidential conversations are possible
with the first two (the NYPD’s should be too, but many
people don’t want to call the police…)
