A quote in a review from The Times on Afrobeat  questioned my use of the term 
black british writing simply because the stories in Afrobeat dealt with 
diverse'human condition' issues such as dyslexia, cancer, obsession, madness 
and not the sort of issues that the mainstream would perhaps deem 'black'.  
How have trends in blackwriting shaped the mainstream view of black british 
writers up to now?
