  Whichever side of this peculiar debate one finds oneself, am I the 
only one on this list to find the tone and coarse language used 
repugnant? not to mention childish, perhaps? I do not wish to deprive 
"eldorra" of the right to righteous indignation. And, yes, Spivak is 
heavy slogging. But I suspect the criticism would make better sense 
if its language were more judiciously applied.

On this very day when U.S. scud-missiles and British nuclear 
sub-marines have just been deployed, I'd say there are more issues to 
get adamant about than Spivak's opaque writing.  Let's get a sense of 
proportions and may common sense prevail. Or perhaps just ordinary 
courtesy, cz
