Date: Fri, 12 Oct 2001 15:04:23 -0400 From: Jill Didur <jdidur-AT-alcor.concordia.ca> Subject: critical work on Naipaul Thought I would mention that one of the best critical pieces I've read on Naipaul's work (fictional and autobiographical) is Vijay Mishra's "(B)ordering Naipaul: Indenture History and Diasporic Poetics" Diaspora 5:2 1996. As the title suggests, it reads Naipaul's work in relation to the history of indenture labour in the Caribbean and helps to makes sense of Naipaul's investment in colonialist discourse. Jill.
