Subject: Suicide as masculine?

--part1_d1.11418f22.29528189_boundary

Dear All,

I'm writing a paper examining several 20th-century British/Colonial texts
where the hero commits suicide. Do any of you know any theoretical work on a
gendered critique of suicide or how suicide is either emasculating or
masculine?

Thanks in advance.
