Consider viewing: The Matter of Images by Richard Dyer; Routledge 1993,
ISBN: 0-415-05718-3 (hard cover).
This is not exactly what you requested; but, it is a collection of essays
that "retain a sharp sense of the social functioning of images."
Additionally, the analyses in the book "move from considerations of the
strongly negative interpretation of 'out' groups to representations of
dominant groups in society." I'm certain that this   book may offer you some
useful insight into  your research. Good luck!
