Hello there.

I'm a PhD student in the department of geography at Simon Fraser University
in Vancouver, Canada. I'm currently working as a Research Assistant for Dr.
Nicholas Blomley
(http://www.sfu.ca/geography/People/Faculty_Pages/blomley.html). Dr. Blomley
is seeking information on current postcolonial analyses of the city (e.g.
Jane M. Jacobs' Edge of Empire: Postcolonialism and the City) for his
ongoing research on law, property rights and ownership . The postcolonial
literature with which I'm familiar deals with either postcolonialism and
literature and / or postcolonialism and questions of nation and nationality.
I would be grateful if anyone could suggest books or articles about
postcolonialism WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE CITY OR THE URBAN
EXPERIENCE GENERALLY . This doesn't mean the material can't be based in
literature or theory, only that the scale of analysis should at the level of
the city instead of the state or nation.

If you have any questions about my request please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Wendy Gibbons
