Intifada is NOT a religious term like fatwa. Intifada
simply means ‘uprising’. 
It was used by many (may be all) Arabic countries
during their struggles for independence. Once that
independence was gained, the term was naturally
dropped. Similarly if and when the Israeli occupation
of Palestinian land comes to an end, there will be no
need for further intifadas. The term can then take a
well deserved rest in the pages of history.
