In fact I was wondering for a very long time about your whereabouts. I am glad that I could provoke a response out of you. This list is not the beginning or the end of anything other than our intellectual delusions but let me tell you my world (don't know if it is yours too) is lying shattered at this end of the diaspora while some at the other end are talking of Palestine (rightly) and some have been silent . While fascism has struck violent roots in India , the democratic vanguard is not even capable of thundering the Parliament and about the battle on the streets, we are too bloody shit scared. Others, too, could -- and should -- discuss. Also, it presumes too much to say that "none" of the Indians on the list has written anything on this matter, unless your point is that none of them has written anything on *this* list. This list, after all, is not the beginning and end of the world; and in any case I recall a discussion earlier in Feb, in which Liam asked some questions, and several of us participated in a brief discussion. [For the record, I've had two pieces published on the matter, in publications in HK and Britain, in the last few weeks, on this matter.] Salil >From: S.Guhathakurta-AT-indal.co.in >Reply-To: postcolonial-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu >To: postcolonial-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu >Subject: Re: questions >Date: Fri, 26 Apr 2002 12:04:26 +0530 > > >You are correct.
