I am raised a Catholic and I visited Ramallah and Bethlehem the last
December, as part of a European delegation visiting Palestinian camps
and cultural centers. We were evacuated from the zone one day before the
Israelian started to bomb the Palestinian Authority, in the name of
retaliation.
I prayed in the Church where the archeologs think Jesus was born. The
place has been around 2000 years but maybe its going to be lost for us
all, after the Israelian Army´s attack. I cried as I heard the Church,
which is the most powerful symbolical place for all Christians, risks to
be damaged and the people seeking sanctuary there, wounded or killed.
We must stop the madness of the Israel governement! How can Sharon and
the people from his generation forget the Holocaust and the crimes were
perpetrated against them? They are acting the same way towards the
Palestinians...
