Now please tell me what a human being does that makes her Eurocentric? I could have been Nipponocentric or Sinocentric or Russocentric as far as my question was concerned. saeed Quoting "S. w." <chemicalis-AT-yahoo.com>: Dear saeed- Your question is already eurocentric. The idea that you have about islam not being radicalized shows that you know little about its history. It's been radicalized throughout history, for example: the diffrent reading of certain laws in Islam or through Ijtihad. different Imams were regarded as radicals, Sufi were regarded as radical, al-hallaj, etc...and Ali was talking about Moderation or Wasatiya like he translated it. there were a group of thinkers in the 19th century and early 20th c. who already established that moderation or what they called (i3tidal). so, without being eurocentric, many thinkers and religious people have been radicalizing Islam. I think that your question is eurocentric because you assume that liberalism is a Western idea while MUslims, way before europeans did, lived with different people of different races , religions and colors because of the nature of of the landthey lived on-a crossroad of merchandises,etc.. another eurocentric idea: > make the mullah/imam aware > of the multiplicity > that is islam? the idea that every imam is closed-minded and living in the past, which is not true as it is a eurocentric idea their authorities/our authorities do not equal ours because we are "better". and also "their education, knowledge" does not equal ours for the same reason. last: a question: if you don't know enough about islam like claimed why do you care about radicalizing Islam? to show Muslims the Eurocentric Truth?
