Subject: RE: Personification of Colonialism

I don't know about "advocating." This word is neither in the original
inquiry, nor in my reply. Rebecca asked for "any examples of novels
where a person from a colonised (or once colonised) place has gone to
a colonising (or formerly colonising) country..." This description
literally fits the two main characters of the novel. The rest of the
sentence, "... and where their impressions ..." is a matter of
interpretation of the novel.
