I don't think that dollars hold greater weight than the hegemony that America 
has spent so much time creating, developing, and maintaining.  Sure, they are 
aware that Israeli dollars and other monies may be withdrawn if they do not 
continue to comply with the Israeli/Jewish lobby in the States.  However, the 
U.S. has been consistent in maintaining an overwhelming presence across the 
globe, often imposing its will by force, other times through quid pro quo.  
The point here is that America has used Israel as its satellite, maintaining 
a sphere of influence in the region through the state of Israel.  The fact 
that Israel's weapons come from America and the bulk of their strength comes 
from the American dollar (billions of it) coupled with scenes of warefare, 
where Israel confers with the US before acting militarily (the Gulf War, 
recent battles where Sharon would wait for Bush to respond before attacking 
Palestinian gunmen).  America has gone to great lengths to ensure that its 
vision of the world becomes reality and it places much value on that process.
