Dear list members --

I, too, have lamented the status of Clerk and Siegel's _Modern Literatures of
the Non-Western World_. When it went out of print I felt like I had lost a
close friend. However, our department secretary had the idea to call our
HarperCollins salesperson, who was able to send 25 copies of the book to the
bookstore; therefore, I am using the Clerk and Siegel book this spring.

I'm writing to the list in the hopes that people will continue to request this
book from HarperCollins so that the company realizes that the book is worth
saving. No other book that I have found offers the variety of quality
literature from non-Western sources nor the contextual information that is so
important for students.

Thank you -- Kirstin Magby
