I don' think the silence means that folks are afraid or unwilling to debate. 
As you rightly point out most folks on this list are academics, and so many 
of us are gearing up for a new term or are in the midst of a term already. 
Sorry to disappoint you "gr3g" or is it "maldoror?"....just how many of these 
screen-names do you have?
