according to amazon.com the rabbit-proof fence dvd will be released in the
usa on april 15. they don't list any special features such as those
mentioned in the previous post.  the australian edition is a 2-disc set.
american buyers should be very well informed regarding their system's
capabilities before purchasing dvds from other regions.  australia uses the
pal format (like europe), and few american systems can play pal format, and
i'm pretty certain no universities or colleges would have pal playback
facilities.   the special edition would be a good teaching resource for
australasian and european schools however if dvd facilities are available.
