Subject: RE: revolution in film

The film currently playing in NYC --- Amandla: A
revolution in Four Part Harmony looks at the role of
music in the south african struggle. it's a badly
made film where content has been sacrificed to style,
a quick-cut editing style that does no justice to
anyone interviewed. But it has its moments,
especially the latter half when the filmmaker allows
scenes to play out, and interferes less with people's
words and actions. How about Patricio Guzman's The
Pinochet Case? Again, bad style but powerful footage.
