It is the outright conquest of Iraq which is so outstanding, and unique . This is truly the turning point, or a turning moment and which way the wheel of history grinds is unknown. I say the wheel of history, because it strikes me there are no dialectical laws that govern the madness afoot. In today's Independent there is a  long article which poses a series of questions about the US's goals in Iraq. One sentence in particular struck me: Washington is not known for its patience. Which I translate as and as the editor of said also translates as how long will Washington bear up as a conquering power? As for the blame ... of particular events, well all of this displays the madness of the schizoid nature of humans, does it not? Destroyed by others one destroys one's own. -- I am thinking of the Museum and the Library. Were not the people of Iraq driven mad and in their madness inflict! ed this terrible deed on themselves? As if to say t

o the world, we don't care anymore and we don't care that you care, and we don't care about anything/ =Nihilism and the nothingness and absolute hatred which precedes death and mass death. The terrible smoke of ruins and dea th has burned many libraries in the past... it is not a justification but merely an observation about the terrors of history.  One can only expect that from all of this things will only get worse. At least on the level of what appears. But what about the thousands of other things, the good and miraculous moments of heroism and kindness we never hear about?.. forgive these thoughts if they appear unsure and unformulated... if they are it is because I founder in the darkness of these thoughts and am grasping for some answers...where perhaps there are none... What happened to Rael and his blog site? was it real, was he killed... what about Saddam andhis gang of pirates where are they... why did the Arab countries once again sit back and watch a fellow Arab country become devastated... this has been going on for decades now.. there are no answers... but only formulations of temporary gropings... I feel betrayed by everything....by the media... by all governments.. by the new Ss of the world that marches where it will when it wishes.. there are only deaths and dead bodies ... where are the floods of humans to rise up against this monstrous machine.. why does desire desire its own repression.. libraries manuscripts flicker in the skin ofthe legs and arms hacked and chopped off.. what about the kids of Karbul Mosul and Tikrit..the kids of Tulkarem.. the kids of the Haifa and Tel Aviv.. the kids burning in their bombs and burns... life is hell on  this planet... were you burning as the missiles shot past.or holding yer lover in fear... as the buidlings crumbled... where the Imman sang his prayer of hope .. where was Allah when the trumpets of doom shot forth their hatred... the burnin' sand underfoot and the oil... the tar of oasis splitt! ing yer face in two as the schizoid tunnel of vision took ov
