Hi,

I feel somehow obligued to write here in defense of Ben's views. Isn't the USA, after all, the home of Freedom? The americans gave us many things, cars, airplanes, computers, internet, and so on, so if they want to massacre a few thousand or million people, shouldn't we support them? Besides, they are just muslims, people who hate living well, and want us to be poor like them.

In America there has never been slavery, as you can easily check in Amity, by Spielberg, or in the Lonely Planet documentary where they talk about some countries in Africa, and explain that slaves were sent by the Europeans to the Caribbean, South America or "The New World" (I wonder where is that "New World", Mars, perhaps?). And besides, they had to put the "Native Americans" in ghettos, because the were crazily throwing themselves against the bullets that the peaceful American soliders were shooting to waste all the armament they had, so they couldn't harm anyone.

America supports democracy everywhere, that's why they helped Pinochet in Chile. Allende was leading his country to a state of freedom that was very dangerous to the principles of democracy. That's why Pinochet had to kill a few thousand people (just socialists and communists, don't worry, he didn't kill people worth that name). That was just for democracy, of course.

America is against the use of massive destruction weapons, as the dropping of A-bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki show (ah, by the way, to drop the A-bombs on two populated cities was just a test they were doing, they meant no harm).

I hope you all guessed that I was being ironic saying all this, but I'm afraid that there are people who, sadly, really think like that. I know one. It is true that the Americans have given us many things, material things, but shouldn't we change internet for the life of all the millions of people they have killed?

     Jacobo
