From: "Richard Knox" <knox-AT-scvnet.com> Subject: RE: Thoughts on Said's "A Stupid War" Date: Sun, 20 Apr 2003 09:52:37 -0700 I can't follow your logic in the following. If you vote against the republicrats you add one vote to the group that is trying to take control away from them. It costs you only 10 minutes to stop at the poll. I voted for Nader (a good guy in my opinion), I voted for Perot (a facist in my opinion) and as I said when I voted for Perot I would have voted for Mussolini if he were running - provided merely that he was not a republicrat. > Like the people who voted for Nader; yeah he is > awesome but he never would have won the election because the u$ is not a democracy. it's a 2 headed dictatorship. the republicrats are the only one's who'll ever have real power in the u$. sure you can vote for whoever you want. i could vote for nader but why bother? hence the fact i don't vote and never will. while i know that the u$'ll never be a working anarchy if there were more parties to vote for i would because in that case 2nd best is all we could ever hope to attain, because after all humanity is much like sheep... it needs to be led. --- from list postcolonial-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
