Hello all,
I am desperately looking for some critical and historical material on the
relationship of Indian women to english language and literature.Something on
the lines of:
1. how it was denied to them durign colonial rule (19th cent Bengal)
2. post-independence it was made more available with female education
becomign more acceptable and accessible
3. to the present times when a Masters in english is viewed as furthering
the marriageability for a girl.
4. class, gender and english literature

Thanks in advance.
