Subject: costs of colonialism?


dear all, can anyone recommend a good source/book that has attempted to 
calculate the costs of colonialism/imperialism for colonized societies 
around the world during the modern period. numbers killed in wars of 
conquest and liberation, resources extracted in numbers and gdp, etc...
