Subject: anglophone vs. bhasha literatures of India

Dear members of the list,

I am looking for references about the situation of the debate between 
anglophone and bhasha literature, mainly in the context of pre-independence 
India. I would also appreciate it if you could suggest some tips about the 
literary debate between English and the vernacular in both Pakistan and 
Bangladesh.
