Dear list members, 

I am a doctoral student at Karlstad University, Sweden, writing on the 
relation and problematics of memory/history, past and present in works of 
David Dabydeen, Toni Morrison and Abdulrazak Gurnah. I have been given a 
grant by the Fulbright commission to pursue my work in the US from next 
autumn, but have not yet decided where to spend the time. Ideas and 
references are therefore most welcome. Write me off-list if you are at 
all interested and I can tell you more about my work (I know it's in some 
respects a well-trodden area). Perhaps I should add that I intend to go 
as a visiting researcher.
