Deadline extended until Sunday 18 January 2003. We've received over 45 abstracts to date from all over the world. This conference is shaping up to be significant to members of this community. Make sure you're part of it. Beginning on Wednesday 23 June 2004, and concludes on Friday 25th June. The venue is the University of Tasmania, Hobart. Come to Tasmania in the winter, it's a wonderful destination. Keynote speakers already secured are:- Dipesh Chakrabarty, University of Chicago; Australian National University Nicolas Rothwell, Journalist and author of Wings of the Kite-hawk: A Journey Into the Heart of Australia Professor Helen Tiffin (Canadian Research Chair at Queens University and co-author of The Empire Writes Back, Key Terms in Postcolonial Studies. Colonial and postcolonial art and criticism ABSTRACT SUBMISSION 250 word abstracts should be submitted using the online submission form no later than 18 January, 2003. Papers will be 20 minutes in duration. Papers will be fully peer-refereed, and letters of invitation will be sent for funding purposes. We anticipate that a publication will arise from the conference papers.
