From: clarisse zimra <czimra-AT-siu.edu> Subject: Re: MLA - Philadelphia 2004: call for papers Date: Sat, 31 Jan 2004 16:47:43 -0600 Friends, I am inserting this as a message, since I know our list does not allow for attachments. Pass it around. Feel free to inquire, with me (chair of the Division) or any one else among the session chairs. DEADLINE 15th March for submission. We generally ackowledge receiving proposals, but tend to wait until March collectively to cull/decide/group and regroup, so as to have panels that present a fairly consistent thematic or theoretical front. Suggestions and objections welcome, of course. By the way, we'd also appreciate knowing whether you've submitted elsewhere at MLA, so as not to have the same person/same paper listed in 2 or 3 or 10 different sessions at the conference. It tends to frazzle the good folks at MLA Headquarters. This does not disqualify you. It may even help place you, in that if we know you've also submitted to "cinema" or "philosophy" whatever, we'll trade and swap with the cinema/philosophy session organizer.
