Subject: Occupation and the politics of sexuality

Hi!
I am writing a paper on the use of sexual abuse and torture as a tool of
humiliation and exercising dominance. I will illustrate it using the current
revelations about AngloAmerican abuse of Iraqis. My argument will be that male
sexual abuse (even when committed by women soldiers) is as much a postcolonial
feminist issue as female sexual abuse.

I am looking for references for wider literature on it: any study that has
looked at historical and contemporary practices of use of sexual
humiliation/rape as tool by states; studies of practices of taking pictures os
victims and acts often as trophy, etc.

In order to avoid clogging people's email, you may reply to me individually at

Thanks in advance

Dibyesh
