Subject: Jayyusi / colonialism in africa query...


i just happen to have been in her appartment in amman last week. i don't 
have her email but you can email her daughter, may jayyusi, at 
<mayjay-AT-muwatin.org>.

does anyone happen to know of a source the provides the number of africans 
killed by the european colonial wars of the 19-20th century? i've been 
looking everywhere but can't find it. even mike davis's book doesn't have 
it. any thoughts would be most appreciated. also, if anyone's tried to come 
up with the amount of wealth transferred out of the continent as a result 
of european imperialism/slavery that would be great too.
