Subject: new featured content on another subcontinent

We are excited to announce the launch of the second phase of Another
Subcontinent. Our homesite (http://www.anothersubcontinent.com) will now
showcase original writing and works of art. The revamped site went live at
midnight today and our first feature is an exhibition of art by a major
Indian artist, and member of Another Subcontinent, Ranbir Kaleka. Please
take a few moments to drop by the site and see why we are so excited about
this exhibit. You can find details on upcoming features, and get a sense of
our vision for the site's direction.

It has now been four months since the launch of the Another Subcontinent
forums and the community has gone from strength to strength each week. We
now have almost 200 members, most of whom have contributed a share of the
almost 9000 posts since Aug. 2. We are proud of the fact that in this time
of growing internet noise our forums serve as a model of stimulating,
enjoyable and civil interaction.

The forums will continue to be the heart and soul of Another Subcontinent
but now in addition to having a space for discussion of South Asian culture
we will also provide space for South Asian artists and writers to present
their work to the world. And, of course, the forums will provide a place to
discuss this work among ourselves and with the featured artists and
writers. (For a discussion of Ranbir Kaleka's art see:
http://www.anothersubcontinent.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1057)

This is an exciting time for us and we hope you will share our enthusiasm
as we look forward to more wonderful features on the home site and more
vibrant discussions on the forums.

Regards,

The Another Subcontinent team
