Muppet fleece is fine if you want to make your puppets look like the
Muppets. The texture is pretty overwhelming-everything you make tends to
look like it's a Muppet-wannabe.

I also found after a while that the texture can get matted and gross
looking, which is not a problem if you can rebuild the puppet as often as
the Muppet builders do. The stuff is great for close-ups (making it the
dream answer to television-it's a no-brainer as to why the Muppets have
used it for so long), and it can cover up a multitude of sins.

I also have to say that I'm not really in favor of the idea that there is a
single way to make all puppets. We experimented to see if this fleece fit
our needs and decided that there were too many other possibilities to
settle on just one for everything we make.
