That's about the saddest thing I've ever heard!  Don't get me wrong, I'm
actually (blush) not a ministering Christian - I'm not sure what I am - but
the notion that *any* book with such cultural significance can be banned by
a school system is astonishing!

Do US public schools not study comparative religion at all?  Is the Koran
or the Talmud equally prohibited?  What about Buddhism or Tao?  How do you
teach kids about the role of spirituality in indigenous peoples (native
Americans, Kooris, etc)?

You've got me wondering now - I've always assumed that Australian schools
have access to all kinds of religious literature, but perhaps not -
something for me to find out!

But meanwhile, back to puppetry......

What's happening about the puppetry chat channel, guys?  I've managed to
navigate my way to IRC servers outside Australia (yay!), and I can't wait
to meet y'all online.  Let's make a time and place.....
