This past Saturday, I lead a workshop for 10 people making a book puppet
(an adaptation of Mary Ann Taylor's design) I offered them the choice of the
hand hole being in the back of the puppet or the bottom. About 1/3 of the
people there were intending to use it as a Vent Figure. But they all wanted
to make the hole from the bottom. When I ask them the question, I said that
the hole in the back would be better for vents, but when one of the Vents
said they wanted the hole in the bottom so she could hold the book up
higher, the others went along.
