     It struck me as a little curt...I don't know about anyone else.
Anyhow, my main gripe was that Jim's practically calling (and certainly
implying that Jacob is a) liar. Jim simply does not believe that Jacob just
wanted help. I don't know why, but he seems quite certain.

     All I'm suggesting is that we cut Jacob a little slack and give him
the benefit of the doubt (am I that old fashioned that this practise has
become a foregn concept?). All the replies there were about whether what
Jim said was opinion/ implication/whatever is just sidestepping the issue.

     Why shouldn't we take Jacob at his word? Will someone who feels we
shouldn't (Jim?) please explain why...
