We are still on vacation.  We have been doing a lot of camping in Colorado.
 Anyway, a few nights ago, we were invited to attend a group campfire at a
small campground.  I decided to bring Reginald THE Rabbit.  He had been
traveling in a plastic garbage bag and I would never have heard the end of
it if he had not attended the campfire!  Anyway, the people who attended
the campfire were mostly adults......three children aged 8-10 were there
too.  The adults and children all talked to Reginald as if he were truly a
living being.  The next morning, the gentleman in the campsite next to us
asked both Paul and me separately if Reginald had slept well last
night.......he didn't ask about Paul or me at all......  Two of the
children, ran over to us as they saw we were getting ready to leave.  They
wanted to say good-bye to Reginald.  (The night before, I had taught one of
the boys how to do basic ventriloquism, and we had a quick review lesson
before we left.  I had offered to teach the other two kids at the same
time, but neither one would try.  The one boy was doing quite well.) 
Anyway, they knew how Reginald talked and they knew he was not really
alive, yet they still treated him as a real live being!
