But to really learn how to do a Punch & Judy Show, you need to see one. The scripts really don't convey the traditional performance style. We made a video about the Punch & Judy Show in England when we were there in 1988. It includes bits of many different British Punch shows, plus interviews with Punch professors (performers.) If you are a member of the Puppeteers of America, you can borrow this video from the PofA's Audio-Visual Library. The video is called: "An Opera Or A Huproar: The British Punch and Judy." If you can get to England to see some shows, that's even better! ~Diane alias "Professor Freshwater" ******* >I am new to the list and am looking for a resource for Punch & Judy >scripts.
